With our prime location in downtown Columbus we are fortunate to have many great restaurants right at our fingertips. There’s no better way to spend a lazy Sunday morning than to sleep late and then walk to a great restaurant for a scrumptious brunch. Here are a few of our favorite local breakfast spots close to The Arbor.
Breakfast Spots: Scrambler Marie’s
Scramblers, originally Café Marie’s, has been a downtown Columbus staple since 1989. With a family friendly atmosphere, great customer service, and an extensive menu this is one of our favorite breakfast spots near The Arbor. We recommend you try one of their hearty omelets or skillets with a tasty side from their bread pantry.
The Crest Castropub on Parsons
If you’re looking for fresh ingredients, locally sourced, transformed into nutritional and delicious dishes – look no further than The Crest Castropub. With carefully designed raised garden beds and a rooftop garden, The Crest grows as much of their own food as they can. What they can’t grow themselves they source from local Ohio farmers. Their motto is, “Food that is picked to eat tastes so much better than food that is picked to ship”, and their dishes prove this to be true. They have an extensive menu and even offer vegan and gluten-free options, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy at this Columbus gem on located on Parsons Avenue.
Comune Restaurant
Built on the principals of sharing food as a way to connect families, communities and the larger population as a whole, Comune is truly in a league of their own. Although they don’t have a breakfast menu, if you are up for a late brunch, we recommend you try their delicious lunch menu. Comune serves flavorful, shareable, and delicious dishes made only with in-season ingredients. However, this place may not be for everyone. Comune has a plant-based menu so this may not be the place for you if you are a big meat lover; but we recommend you try it out at least once, even if you can’t get that side of bacon, we promise they will not disappoint!
Tim Hortons
Tim Hortons Café and Bake Shop is a great go-to breakfast spot for freshly brewed coffee and those tasty breakfast classics. With great breakfast sandwiches, wraps and snacks, and freshly brewed coffee that is always on, Tim Hortons is a frequent stop for many Arbor residents. They also serve breakfast all day long until 5:00 pm, so if you’re one of those people who like to eat breakfast for dinner every once in a while – Tim’s is your spot.
T&K Pitstop Bar and Grill
Located on 33rd Avenue in Columbus, T&K Pitstop Bar and Grill is rumored to be one Columbus’ hidden treasures. Although they don’t have a separate breakfast menu, they open at 10:00 am and are a great casual spot to grab a great brunch and a drink. With an extensive lunch and dinner menu, a full bar, and a friendly atmosphere, T&Ks is a favorite stop for many Columbus residents and travelers passing through.
